Abstract
Gabdulla Tukay occupies a special place in Tatar literature and culture, comparable to Pushkin in Russian. The history of translations of Tukay's poetry has not been sufficiently studied. The article provides factual data about Tukay’s first publications in Russian in Russian periodicals, as well as the first collections of the poet’s poems.
