Abstract
The paper analyzes the shortcomings of the legal regulation of the institute of witness immunity in criminal proceedings. The authors suggest: Part 3 of Article 56 Criminal Procedure Code supplement Russian phrase "except in cases of filing the petition on their interrogation"; narrow limits of witness immunity of judges to the levels necessary to protect the secrets of the deliberation room, and extend it to all the judges, and not only hear criminal cases.
