Abstract
The article examines the ethnonym Rosomoni mentioned by Jordanes. It is revealed that the anthroponyms Sarus, Ammius, Sunilda find their etymology in the Celtic language environment and are expressed by words preserved in the Old Irish language. The ethnonym Rosomoni comes from a horonym that allows us to determine the area of settlement of the tribe in the Rodna Mountains district located in the Eastern Carpathians.
