AbstractThe author proceeds from the fact that the problem of struggle against ignorance is topical both on levels of a medical community and of patients. The matched notions “good and evil”, “use and harm”, “truth and lie” are to be studied in the context of health care and education systems modernization. The developed critical thinking of students will be demanded by them in the process of self-education, in the analysis of information flows and in the situations of making decisions concerning diagnostics, treatment and prophylaxis strategy choice.Keywords: critical thinking, ignorance, medical activity
