Abstract
Preconditions of methodical and organizational work as a component of personnel training for the railway segment of the transport and forwarding industry and improvement of professional skill of employees of this segment are formulated. The "triple helix" model is considered in the conditions of a railway university. Presented are the modern principles and training programs for the railway segment of the transport and forwarding industry and the upgrading of the skills of employees of this segment.
