Abstract
The article gives author's definition of the concept "the socio-economic safety of the region" (further – SESR), a representation about the elements of SESR, describes the factors of SESR, the impact of which can turn into real threats in the economic-industrial and social spheres. Specified correlation between the socio-economic situation, socio-economic development (further – SED) and the SESR. Described stages of research and problems of ensuring of SESR in the current conditions of economic development and life of the population.
