Abstract
In the article, the problem of conscience in justice is examined in the historical and philosophical context, its relation to the law when assessing evidence and deciding the sentence. The author justifies the admissibility of justice in Russia «in accordance with conscience», taking into account the peculiarities of the spiritual and moral culture and sense of justice of the Russian people.
