Abstract
In article relevance of a problem of training of future engineer is considered. Important tendencies and the related changes in modern engineering training of future experts in educational process of higher education institution are defined: target, motivational, substantial and procedural. The conclusion is drawn that the innovative orientation of engineering training most satisfies needs of students for quality education for the future today and provides formation of the personality capable to correspond to changes, the caused progress of scientific and technical progress.
