Abstract
The article considers the question of housing in modern conditions of crisis of the national economy. The authors have given a concrete example, consider the possibility of obtaining a mortgage loan in the leading banks of one of the country's regions – the Volgograd region. Reviewed internal and external problems of development of mortgage lending as a mechanism to increase the availability of comfortable housing.
