Abstract
The article deals with term formation and development of special-purpose vocabulary in IT and communication technology comparing Russian, English, and German. The article analyses ways of developing secondary metaphoric meanings based on metaphorized primary meanings of general-purpose Russian, English, and German vocabulary.
