Abstract
The article describes issues of genetic variability in populations of agricultural animals, particularly goats, revealed by modern molecular genetic techniques. Data concerning genetic variability, coefficients of intra and -inter breed similariries has been generated. The potential for use of markers for monitoring breeds state has been demonstrated.
