AbstractThis article deals with the motives and attitudes of students reading in the teaching of a foreign language in a technical high school. The development of interest in reading in a foreign language, the awakening of cognitive needs, satisfy this reading, is one of the main tasks of teaching reading in not language high school. The task of learning a foreign language is also the approach of the activities of the students to the real situation of communication by generating informative and intellectual interests in the process of reading. Reading provides this capability to a greater extent than other types of speech activity in a foreign language, since it can be used to obtain information.
