Abstract
Migration processes are an important aspect in the development of the national economy and the modern labor market. At present, the external labor migration has for many countries, including Russia, was important because of the effectiveness of migration policy in the country depends on its economic development. This is due to the fact that in most countries in the total population is declining proportion of people in the most active working age, and often the only way to early to fill workforce is labor migration.
At the same time, the analysis of migration processes allows to solve the problem of illegal migration and to improve the mechanisms for its regulation and control.
The article describes the migration processes in the national economy. The main causes of migration and its consequences, both positive and negative for the host country. The analysis of the main indicators of migration processes, including internally displaced persons and foreign nationals who apply for temporary asylum. Reveals the main objectives and activities of the Federal Migration Service of the Russian Federation as an important state body regulates and records the migration processes in the country.
