Abstract
The article describes the lexical-semantic group of adjectives expressing emotional state (semantic subgroup of emotive-evaluative adjectives). The study highlights nuclear and peripheral zones of lexical-semantic group, characterizes lexemes in the periphery. The object of analysis is adjectives with an independent nominative function, i.e. the adjectives able to name and designate fragments of extralinguistic reality.
