Abstract
article gives the characteristic to requirements to the personality and professional activity of the teacher-trainer in system of additional education of children taking into account change of the social environment, level of psychology and pedagogical readiness of children for sports activity and new tendencies in system of training of athletes; article considers the identity of the trainer as leader of sports collective, opens the leading functions and kinds of activity of the trainer.
