Abstract
In this article, based on archival materials and published sources shows that college defenders were voluntary cooperative organizations. So essential was the order of the distribution of income among their members. A special place in the activities of defenders held free legal aid to workers. The main indicator of the quality of the activities of the defense is the name of free consultations.
