AbstractThe objective of the study was to assess actual fluoride intake by exclusively breast-fed and mixed-fed infants, and offer a method of its correction for formula-fed infants to prevent fluorosis. Results. The study reveals excessive (tens to hundreds of times higher than the safe level) fluoride intake in infants receiving formula feeding that eventually leads to high prevalence of fluorosis in children and adults. Conclusion.
