Abstract
A characteristic feature of the modern stage of education is the formation of communicative competence of students, providing adaptation of the future specialist to modern conditions of life. Communicative competence is not only in the classroom but also in extra-curricular time through active forms of work, such as discussion: dispute, debate, discussion, etc. To choose a relevant debate, public significant topic or problem, develop a technology debates, as well as levels for evaluation of formation of communicative competence of students, formulates questions for reflection.
