Abstract
In this article the author examines Italian immigration policy separating it into three major aspects: political-juridical, economic and sociocultural. The history of both Italian and European Union immigration policies, the changes in legislation, internal and external political situations regarding this article problems are under detailed analysis. Also future prospects of Italian immigration policy are marked.
