SYNTHESIS OF HYDROXYAPATITE AND AMORPHOUS CALCIUM SILICATE MIXTURES

Abstract
Synthesis of solid phases in aqueous solutions containing calcium ions, phosphates and silicates was made in order to develop materials for the recovery and treatment of bone and teeth defects. The deposited products were characterized by a set of physicochemical methods (X-ray powder diffraction, FTIR-spectroscopy, SEM and BET). It was found that in the studied systems with high SiO32- mixtures of hydroxyapatite and amorphous calcium phosphate formed. The applicability of deposition method for preparation two-phase composite materials was shown.
