AbstractThis article examines distinctive features of interaction between people and toys and analyzes the principles of identification of people with folk and modern toys. The article gives examples of how visual perception of toys helps people explore objects around them. The objects are being assessed; their significant traits that correspond with traces of national memory are being selected and systematized to form a visual image.Keywords: doll, folk toy, identification, magic, manipulation, puppet, reflection, visual perception
