Abstract
The article discusses the necessity of students ' information competence formation as an integral part of a specialist in any field of the information society. Special attention is paid to the organization of student’s independent work in the learning process and self-education, and the issue of an attitude formation towards the use and development of intellectual property in the context of their professional tasks.
