Abstract
The article examines trends in the development of the theory of risk in relation to the activities of the companies of investment and construction of the complex. The analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of traditional methods of risk management. Revealed that the risk management system is a tool to ensure a balanced, stable development of investment and construction companies in accordance with the strategic goals of the organization.
