Abstract
This article was prepared based on analysis of literature and archive records introduced in scientific studies for the first time. The research is dedicated to the struggle of Birsk religious persons for the preservation of Saint Trinity Cathedral during Bolsheviks’ atheistic campaigns in 1920-1930. Study of this problem allows amending the history of Birsk as a typical town of Russian and review the policy of atheistic state in regions.
