Abstract
In the article possibilities of activization of professional formation of the specialist are analyzed. Need of improvement of programs of general education courses, entering into them engineering contents is emphasized. As the basic principles of formation of technical thinking the unity of general-theoretical, special, engineering knowledge of the students is considered.
