Abstract
A method for optimization of the power consumption in steady state which is based on the identification of the saturation characteristic of the magnetizing inductance is given. The method operates with a direct numerical optimization algorithm and based on the approximation of magnetizing inductance from the previously computed minimums. The efficiency of the method is demonstrated on experimental data
