Abstract
The article discusses approaches to the interpretation of the efficiency of public expenditure , analyzed the existing methodology for assessing the effectiveness of the implementation of regional long-term programs. On their basis, the author has developed its own method of evaluating the effectiveness of budget expenditures to implement long-term programs.
