Abstract
Involvement of students in innovative and design activity is a perspective way of vocational training which allows to create and develop various analytical, research, communicative competences of future teachers. In article the content of innovative and design activity is disclosed, opportunities and the prospects of her realization in higher education institution are proved, features of development of projects with use of the electronic educational environment are described, the description and results of experimental work on involvement of students of the pedagogical directions of preparation in this type of activity are provided.
