AbstractThis article considers the religious-philosophical concept of the English writers of the nineteenth century Charles Kingsley, Charles Dickens and William Thackeray, which was reflected in their historical novels "Hypatia", "Barnaby Radge," "The Tale of two cities", "The History of Henry Esmond".
