The Turkmen people, whose origin dates back to millennia, have always paid great attention to the education of the next generation. To educate our future young generation to be well-mannered, broad-minded, strong-bodied, able to think healthy, educated, intelligent, capable, in the way of our ancestors, in the spirit of the times, as well as to improve the education of the generation and strengthen the attention paid to children’s education is important.

It is effective to use our spiritual values and national heritage in modern education of young people. The work of national education is considered one of the unique features that make our nation known to the world. While the child is at home, he is growned by his parents and older siblings. It is possible to improve the quality of education given to children by using the methods of organizing it according to the national content and principles on a scientific basis. It is the demand of our time to educate capable, noble, high-minded young people in accordance with the requirements of the age-old moral standards inherent in the spirit of our people. The fact that the Turkmen people attach great importance to children’s education is also evidenced by the fact that our literary heritage was passed on to education, education, and propaganda.

“Kovusnama” by Kay-Kovs, “Wagzy-Azat” by Doveletmammammet Azadi, “Bilimnama” by Yusup Balasagunly, as well as the wonderful poems of our thinker and poet Magtymguly Pyragy fully confirm that this is so.

What I would like to note as a teacher: education is one of the main conditions for the formation of students as individuals. A prominent representative of our national folk pedagogy, Doveletmammet Azadi also noted that the educator has a great service in the development and formation of a person. In his book “Wagzy-Azat” he established 40 rules for educating the young generation and left them as a legacy to parents, pedagogues, and teachers. In this work of Azadi, together with all the rules, the duties, respect, and manners of children towards their parents are widely explained. The issue of education is reflected in various genres of folklore, works of classical poets, public attitudes of the Turkmen people, and written monuments. Using this as an example, we explain that the poems of Magtymguly, Kemine, Seydi, Zelili, Mataji, Mollanepes have very effective ideas about education. In the instructions of the leaders of our university, increasing the “load” of our students from fiction is related to their spiritual enrichment.

In growing the child, his age characteristics were taken into account. It should be noted that the changes that take place in our national pedagogy during the child’s development period left a unique mark on the work of the thinker and poet Magtymguly Pyragy. Those who think about it after reading his poems such as ” Joşa ýetdiň “, ” Nahana geldiň “, ” Düşen günlerim ” will understand this for sure.

Lucky for five, he doesn’t know

It won’t take the world by storm,

It won’t hurt

The fun is outside

If he turns ten,

It will be welcome as a boy

Food and drink are welcome.

There will be a lot of noise at the beginning.

The wrong behavior of parents and teachers in their relationship with young people can harm their proper upbringing. Therefore, it is necessary to nurture in the child the passion for the history, traditions, material and spiritual values, world culture, scientific and technical developments of the Turkmen people. Because at that time they start to choose a profession and start to understand life. Students want to be like a committed, fair teacher. Therefore, life requires a teacher to be an example to the youth in all aspects. Magtymguly Pyragy describes him as follows in his poetry.

In his poems, the poet praises the greatness and sanctity of the country, orders the generations to love their country, protect their country as far as the eye can see, and never leave their native country. In the same way, in his poems, Magtymguly exhorts correct speech, few words, honesty, adherence to eating salt, goodness.

Magtymguly’s creativity is a bottomless ocean. The spiritual power of every word of his speaks very quickly to the hearts of people living in countries far from the climate. The greatness of the poet is determined by the fact that he elevates man to the level of the king of the world, the sultan. The great thinker is a shining star in world poetry and attracts the attention of thinkers and masters of poetry. Magtymguly, in any of his poems, is overwhelmed by his humanity and is a guardian in your presence. The poet’s humanity and philanthropy know no bounds. Perhaps that is why the interest in the work of Magtymguly, a prominent representative of the Turkmen people, is greater than that of writers and poets of other nations.

Pavlo Movcha’s name is widely known among the readers for his constant contribution to the development of literary relations between the Turkmen and Ukrainian peoples, and to the translation of the works of famous writers and poets of the two friendly nations. Thanks to the master writer’s in-depth study of Turkmen literature, the poems of our wise poet Magtymguly Pyragy were echoed in the Ukrainian language.

According to the Russian philosopher Nikolay Berdyaev, there are two worldviews of the world: the first is the commonality of earlier times, and the second is an attitude. For the Greeks the world was the universe, for others the world was history. It can be said with great confidence that Turkmen poet Magtymguly Pyragy, long before the famous Russian philosopher, combined two ideas about the world in one idea: the macroworld and the microworld.

We are proud of President S. Berdimuhamedov’s new contributions aimed at ensuring peace for the countries and peoples of the world from the high platform of the world community. In those raids, we see that the great Philosopher was born from his reasonable thoughts about man and his duties and responsibilities. That’s why Magtymguly Pyragy’s words of encouragement in his poems are a guide to wise people of today’s world, to our young people who are studying.

Thanks be to the soul of the President, who created all the opportunities to improve and develop the education system during the happy state of Berkarar, may his great work be continued with success! Let our young people study foreign languages in depth, master the fundamentals of education and honor the reputation of our country in all parts of the world!

In 1842, the Polish scholar Alexander Chodzko published three poems to his divan in London. He collected these poems during his travels to the Kopetdag region in 1833, crossing through the Hurasan desert. The published poems included “Duza myýhmandyr” “Galmazlar” and “Sil galmaz”. These works also featured renowned compositions such as “Ýaraşmaz” and “Olmaz”, attributed to Kemine and Aýdyn Deregezli, respectively.

In 1862, professors from Kazan and St. Petersburg universities, prepared “Türk hristomatiýa,” including Magtymguly’s works. Over 30 poems were included, and in 1879, a collection was published in Leipzig under the supervision of Professor Wenger/Majar and Professor Wamberini from Budapest University. This publication was recorded in the “Zeitschrift der deutschen morgenländischen gesellschaft”

In 1907, Professor N.P. Ostreomow published 81 of Magtymguly’s poems in issues 54-58 of the newspaper “Türküstan habarlary.” During the same year, Ostreomow also published “Otuziki tohum kyssasy we Mahtymguly” (The Story of Thirty-two Seeds and Mahtymguly) with lithography by G.H. Aryfjanon. In 1911, this book was reprinted in Mary with the help of Mir Zahed Mir Syddykogly, with 2000 copies printed. In the same year, Ostreomow published a separate collection of Magtymguly’s works in Arabic script in Dushanbe. The compilation of Magtymguly’s works was published in cities like Stavropol, Ufa, Kazan, Simferopol, Urenburg, and Khiva.

The most notable publication of Magtymguly’s works, involving the participation of Turkmen scholars, occurred in 1910 in Bukhara. This valuable work is preserved in the lithograph collections of the Abū Rayḥān Bīrūnī Eastern Studies Institute in Uzbekistan.

In 1912, Nurmuhommet ogly Niýazy, living in Astrakhan, published Magtymguly’s works under the title “Diwan-e Mahtumguly.” This information was documented in the journal “Shura” (Nos. 12-17, 1913). According to Niýazy, “Ýagşymämet ogly Hajy Nury efendi” assisted in the publication of Magtymguly’s works.

In 1914, Gurbanberdi Gürgeni from Esenguly published “Diwan-e Magtymgulyny” with his own funds, titled “Azadynyň behişt namasy” (The Paradise of Freedom). This edition included a total of 189 poems.

W.E. Mejow published 78 of Magtymguly’s poems in volumes 422 (pages 125-135) and 446 (page 65) of the work “Türküstan ýygyndysy.”

At present, the full significance of Magtymguly’s poetry, imbued with the spirit of national identity, is universally recognized. His poetic excellence, along with that of other classical Turkmen poets, is revered and celebrated as a precious cultural heritage.

In 1944, an edition of Magtymguly’s works was printed in Berlin by Gurban in Latin script, comprising 85 pages. It was titled “Türküstanyň azatlygy ugrunda” (For the Liberation of Turkistan) and was referred to as the “4th book published by the Literary and Scientific Department of the National Turkistan Committee.” The publication contained 2 pages in German and 8 pages in Turkmen. The preface stated: “They sacrifice themselves for their own people and their nation’s well-being, and our famous Magtymguly is one such great figure…”

Regarding Gurban, the person responsible for the publication, it is known that his real name was Remezan and he was from the Gökleň tribe in Gyzylarbat. He completed his education with Gara Seýitli in Baku at the beginning of October Revolution, then returned to Turkmenistan to work as a history teacher. He was sent to the front during World War II and became a prisoner of war in Germany. There, he was associated with the “Turkestan Liberation Committee” and successfully managed to publish Magtymguly’s works in 1944 during the tumultuous period of fascist rule. Gurban later worked at a radio station in England until around 1960 before disappearing from public view.
