Abstract
The article is dedicated to the development of criminalistics as a science that plays a key role in solving criminal offenses. Since the term's emergence in 1898, criminalistics has undergone significant changes, incorporating new technologies and methods such as three-dimensional identification and mass spectrometry. The article also emphasizes the necessity of constantly improving investigative methods to enhance the effectiveness of criminalists' work, as well as mentioning the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on accelerating innovations in this field. Thus, criminalistics remains a relevant and vital science for ensuring justice and safety in society.
