Abstract
In modern society, safety and security is one of the key aspects of education. This article is devoted to various measures to ensure the safety of the school community in public and private schools in the United States, a comparative analysis of these methods is carried out. The key aspects of the safety of the school community in the United States that influence the choice of certain measures are highlighted. It also examines the main problems of violence faced by educational institutions, namely in the form of bullying and school shooting. The work of some public organizations that have been created to help students, parents and school administrators to combat violence is examined.
