INCREASING OF REFRIGERATION INDEX BY THE WAY OF AUTOMATIC PROTECTION OUT OF REFRIGERATION COMPRESSOR LIQUID HAMMER

Abstract
The article presents a method for increasing the coefficient of refrigeration based on the method of automatic protection of the refrigeration compressor from liquid hammer. It is offered an automatic protection refrigeration reciprocating compressor from liquid hammer, the essence of which consists in the usage of sensors and relays that directs the refrigerant through two-position solenoid valve primary suction line (safe with the accumulator) through non-core (without the accumulator). In addition to protecting the compressor from liquid hammer, depending on the characteristics of the refrigeration unit, the following is achieved: with a "non-critical" ratio of the volumes of the sucked working substance in the two-phase state in the suction line (steam – liquid), the volume capacity of the compressor increases, and, accordingly, the value of the cooling coefficient, and the discharge temperature decreases in the second stage of the 2-stage machine. It is seen an alternative to the recently used liquid injection. It should be noted that, in comparison with other methods, the proposed method does not depend on the heat balance equation, since the liquid separator does not participate in heat exchange. The entrance of a high-density refrigerating agent increases the cooling capacity indicator, so the compressor performs a lot of work under boundary conditions (on the edge of a wet run) by an additional value of the mass flow rate. In addition, instead of the currently used container for separating the liquid phase of the refrigerant, the proposed method increases the "degree of automation" of the refrigerator, which simplifies the control and operation of the refrigerator. The proposed method of automatic protection of the refrigeration compressor from liqueid hammer allows (under certain conditions) to slightly increase the coefficient of refrigeration. This method is promising for small and medium-sized refrigerating machines and installations, but requires more in-depth study and experimental testing. The disadvantage of this method is a considerable capital cost, comparable to the cost of liquid injection, which is used in particular for two-stage compressors.
