Abstract
The theoretical bases of the information approach and the features of its implementation in the education system are considered in the article. The notions: "information" and "knowledge", the essence of the problem of selection of the content of education are specified. Opportunities of the electronic educational environment of the university, ICT, levels of interactivity are revealed.
