SORPTION OF HEAVY METAL IONS FROM AQUEOUS SOLUTIONS BY POLYSACCHARIDE MATERIALS

Abstract
The study of the kinetics of heavy metal ions sorption on cellulose-containing low-cost materials obtained on the basis of agro-industrial wastes and by-products is done. Treatment of the results of kinetic studies is made using different kinetic models. It is determined that polysaccharide materials have relatively good kinetic characteristics. Most adequately experimental data are described with pseudo-second order kinetic model.
