Abstract
The article examines the significance of the Ukrainian project. The conclusion on the basis of his nihilistic, as expressed in the negation of collectivist values in the preceding stage of social development. The positive part of the project Ukrainian society indicated as "building a new society according to Western models of democracy and the market." This significance makes problematic the idea of Ukraine's independence, suggesting its dependence on the Anglo-Saxon project.
