Abstract
This article is devoted to studying the epideictic discourse. The epideictic discourse is implemented in different kinds of texts and, namely, funeral speech. The funeral speech can be referred to as a separate type of speech genres as it contains such main genre characteristics as informative value, intentionality, interpretability, intertextuality, precedentness, theatrical qualities, stability of form and structure, integrity.
