Abstract
The urgency of the work is conditioned by the need to improve the performance of middle school students, dueto the fact that many of them finally finish their studies in the ninth grade and it is necessary to ensure their mastering of the educational minimum, for the purpose of successful device in later life.
The article presents an analysis of the approach to mid-level education, identifies the main problems, factors that affect the progress of schoolchildren, proposed a modernization mechanism that allows improving the quality of Russian education.
