Abstract
The article presents the characteristics of the program "Mother (family) capital". The analysis of its realization for 10 years of existence, including the amount of payments, directions of use, influence on the birth rate is presented. The problems that determined the need to modernize the program are identified. Alternative options for the use of parent capital are presented.
