Abstract
The article is devoted to the modernization of the households’ debt relationships in Russia on the basis of improving the functioning of the personal bankruptcy's institution. The emphasis is placed on economic and legal aspects of the financial insolvency of citizens. Peculiarities and deficiencies in the domestic system of debtors’ rehabilitation as the debt mechanism's infrastructure are identified.
