Abstract
The abundance of available materials on the history of the Crimean Khanate allows us to reconsider some of the stereotypes. For example, we need to clarify the generally accepted at the time of submission of Muhammad Giray IV as a ruler. In this article we present some facts from his biography, accompanying them with the necessary in our view comments.
