Abstract
The article considers the problem of leisure of students and the need for a serious approach to its solution. A major multi-functional facility to meet the informational, cultural and recreational needs of students is the library. She must be social and cultural – leisure center that will allow the institution in the modern world to remain relevant. One of the problematic points in cultural and leisure activities of libraries is the lack of new forms of organization of leisure of visitors, and as a result the search for new forms is the appearance in space of the library theatre groups, the organization of gaming clubs, cooperation with foreign libraries. As practice shows, this approach is most effective, as the transfer of cultural experience, personal education, her socialization, and effective organization of leisure – the most effective way to shape a young generation of well-rounded and able to organize their free time.
