Abstract
Actuality of work is dictated by the unflagging interest of the modern reader to the person and work of N. Gumilev and in this regard the need to consider his poetic quest in close Association with the biographical facts. Creativity N. Gumilev is the gradual development of his lyrical hero, his inner quest, a gradual transformation of images and motifs. All this is closely connected with the biography of the poet, his travels and deep personal experiences. We examine several collections of the poet: from the earliest such as "the Way conquistadores" and "Romantic flowers", to published after the poet's death a "Tent", consider the evolution of the motives and images of his lyrical hero. We analyze romantic themes in the works of N. Gumilev's ideas of struggle and triumph in his works.
