AbstractThe aim of this article is the description of molecular genetic techniques for study of genome structural features in fish populations. Genetic structure of salmon fish has been studied by digoxigenin labeled oligonucleotide probe (GTG)5 which reveals polymorphic sites in the genome. High genetic variability in a commercial breed Rofor and Caspian trout has been revealed along with genetic relationships in six salmon fish groups. The research demonstrated the efficiency of the technique for study of fish population structure. The data obtained can be used for breeding planning at fish research facilities. Keywords: breed, heterozygosity, oligonucleotide probe, population, salmon fish
