Abstract
The article gives an overview of the interpretations of such definitions as "forest", "forest resources", "food resources of the forest", "non-timber forest resources", etc. Studied the legal basis of workpieces food resources of the forest taking into account the different directions of the workpieces (for their own needs, in the implementation of business activities), in particular the experience of regional legal regulation of workpieces food resources of the forest by the population for their own needs.
