Abstract
The article presents the general principles of operation and design of wind turbines with power ratings up to several megawatts. It is shown that the main difference between the various topologies of wind power is the structure of the power circuit. The paper considers comparative analysis of highlighted topologies with identification of their main advantages and disadvantages.
