Abstract
The article deals with the conseptual functions of the institute of presidency in the democratic political sistems. The author tuies to show the mechanism of the conseptual functions on the example of the USA of, the period of the President A. Lincoln. We have a conclusion of the function of maintence of democratic model of the political system belongs to the institute of presidency.
