Abstract
The article analyzes how the modern Russian education affects on leadership development among school pupils and students. It presents some results of the author's empirical research, which identified ways to improve the teaching forms and methods of training youth. Leadership of Russian students is a resource of the state, which can be developed by creating an educational competition.
