Abstract
At present, due to lack of own revenues to regional budgets have to resort to the use of debt instruments. The lack of significant improvement in the economic situation, with increasing level of debt burden of the RF subjects can be a real threat to the solvency of a number of regions. The purpose of writing this article is to review the debt sustainability of the Russian Federation and its assessment of how the public debt control at the regional level.
