Abstract
The article deals with the role and function of innovation in ensuring sustainable existence and development of the company. The authors come from an original idea that is itself innovative activity does not guarantee the success of the company in the future. Analyzed how the experience of successful and unsuccessful innovation, the introduction of which forced the company to leave the market.
